Anil Mishra is a Professor of Medicine. He is also the Director of Tulane Eosinophilic Disorder Center in the section of pulmonary diseases at Tulane University School Of Medicine. His research established that eosinophils are the resident cells of the gastrointestinal tract that home prenatally. He showed that eosinophil active chemokine eotaxin-1 constitutively expressed and has signifi cant role for eosinophils homing into the gastrointestinal tract. He developed the fi rst murine model of eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE). His fi ndings implicated aeroallergen in the etiology of EoE and suggested that esophageal eosinophilic infl ammation is mechanistically associated with pulmonary infl ammation. Recently, he reported that rIL-15 is a therapeutic molecule for the allergen-induced airway hyperactivity and fi brosis for chronic asthma and other pulmonary functional impairment. He is an Elected Fellow of American Academy of Allergy Asthma Immunology (FAAAAI) and American Gastrointestinal Association (FAGA). He has published over 72 articles, book chapters and reviews on molecular mechanisms of pulmonary and gastrointestinal allergic responses in high impact factor journals. His research is supported by National Institutes of Health via NIDDK and NIAID institutes. He is also a member of several NIH study sections and serving as Editor and Editorial Board Member in a number of international journals.

Glenis Scadding is Hon. Consultant Physician in Allergy and Rhinology at the Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital, and Honorary Senior Lecturer in Clinical Immunology at the University College London School of Medicine. She was President of the British Society for Allergy and Clinical Immunology 2009-12. In 2006, she won their William Frankland Award for outstanding contribution to clinical allergy in the UK. She was Allergy UK Allergist of the Year in 2011 and was awarded British Medical Association (Walter Jobson Horne for ENT research), European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (Clemens von Pirquet for research in Allergy) and WAO prizes (Outstanding Clinician) in recent years. She is the author of over 300 peer – reviewed scientific publications.For most of her adult life Glenis has been concerned about climate change and about the impact of man- made pollution, particularly that of fossil fuels, on respiratory health. She has given up running a car in the UK and has a solar array.

Dr Scadding’s research interests include rhinitis and its co-morbidities, including asthma.

Dr. Mohamad Miqdady is American Board certified in Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition. He is the Division Chief, Ped. GI, Hepatology & Nutrition Division at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City in UAE. He is also an adjunct staff at Cleveland Clinic, Ohio USA and member of the FISPGHAN Council (Federation of International Societies of Pediatric Gastruenterology Hepatology, and Nutrition) Expert member FISPGHAN Malnutrition/Obesity Expert team. Dr. Miqdady completed his Fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, TX, USA. He held the position of Assistant Professor at Jordan University of Science and Technology in Jordan for six years prior joining SKMC.

Ljudmila Stojanovich received her Ph.D. in Medicine, with the thesis “Neuropsychiatric manifestations in patients with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus” in 1999. She is the scientific director in the Bezhanijska Kosa, University Medical Center of Belgrade University, where she is currently a Full Research Professor. Dr. Stojanovich’s research focuses on Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, Antiphospholipid Syndrome, and Vaccination in patients with Autoimmune Rheumatic diseases. She is an author of three monographs and of about 250 articles on various aspects of Autoimmune Rheumatic disorders, published in international and domestic journals and in conference proceedings. Dr. Giulio (Filippo, Giacomo) Tarro born in Sicily has been engaged in medical research for over 30 years having completed his M.D in 1962 at Naples University. Initially his research has been oriented mainly towards Virology. His most notable work provided experimental evidence for the association of herpes viruses with cancer of the cervix. His basic researches have been concerned with antigens induced early during the replication cycle of herpes simplex virus (HSV). His mission-oriented research has dealt with many aspects of various infectious diseases including broncho-pneumonia, encephalitis, cholera, and the diseases caused by different viruses. During 1979 he was engaged in research on an epidemic disease in Naples called the "dark disease". Dr Tarro isolated the respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) and found antibody evidence that this virus was behind the epidemic. Dr Tarro is currently engaged in scientific research related to the separation and identification of tumour antigens present on cell membranes and their potential value in immunotherapy for cancer. IntramuraI activities have included being director of thesis and research for many candidates; director of medical research fellowships for medical students; participation in research planning for clinical colleagues; teaching virology, oncology and immunology to medicaI and graduate students. He is on the editorial board of various Italian medical journals. Dr Tarro has been elected to membership of many academies and societies. He has also been the recipient of many awards and honours. Dr Tarro is life president of the T. and L. de Beaumont Bonelli Foundation for Cancer Research. Over 15+ patents, 500+ articles, 20+ books and several awards mark his CV.

Mariya Ivanovska has completed her MD degree at the age of 24. At the moment she is finalizing her PhD thesis in Clinical Immunology at Medical University of Plovdiv, Bulgaria. She is principle investigator at Section of Immunological Assessment of PTSD, TCEMED – Plovdiv, resident in Clinical Immunology at St.George University Hospital and assistant professor in Clinical Immunology at Medical University-Plovdiv. She has published more than 10 papers in reputed journals. Organizer amd part of organizing committee of different national PID schools and international conferences.

Dr. Yazan received his medical education at University of Jordan/Amman , then moved to the USA where he did pediatric residency at University of New York(SUNY)-Brooklyn, and obtained his American Board of Pediatrics in 1996, then he did subspecialty fellowship training in Allergy/Clinical Immunology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and obtained his American Boards in Allergy/Immunology in 1999. He proceeded with subspecialty fellowship training in pediatric pulmonology at University of California/Irvine and Miller Children’s Hospital in Long Beach, California. Dr Yazan established and headed the Advanced Pediatric Pulmonary Center in Spring Hill, Florida. He also worked as a pediatrician in Prince Edward Island in Canada. He currently holds the section head of Pediatric Pulmonary/Allergy section at King Fahad Specialist Hospital in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. Dr Yazan is on the International Advisory Board of International Congress Pediatric Pulmonology (CIPP) and the Middle East Cystic Fibrosis Association (MECFA). He is also on the executive board of Saudi Pediatric Pulmonary Association (SPPA) and Saudi Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Society (SAAIS). He is a member of multiple international specialties associations and societies.

He was consultant and Chief Allergy and Immunology in NIH, Islamabad, Pakistan for about 13 years. He was also head of department of Allergy vaccine production and was trained by WHO in USA in qc and standardization of Allergy Vaccine Production. He developed SLIT drops in 2002 and all his patients in DUBAI and in Pakistan are taking these specific SLIT drops.
